American southwest, 1874. As a drunken half-breed drifter, Morgan feels he has no reason to live. That is until a wealthy heiress, Carolyn, finds him wounded in a back alley. On the run from an arranged marriage, she takes him to his home to heal, as well as hide from her father.
At her urging, Morgan agrees to accompany her from Galveston to Ogallala. But what is only supposed to be a job turns into something more as he finds himself falling for the runaway bride.
